Targeted Correction

Our orthotic technology is specifically engineered to address the mechanical faults that lead to common foot pathologies:

  • Plantar Fasciitis: Reduces tension on the plantar fascia band by supporting the arch and cushioning the heel.
  • Over-Pronation (Flat Feet): Prevents the arch from collapsing inward, reducing strain on the ankle and inner knee.
  • Supination (High Arches): Improved shock absorption and lateral stability for rigid feet.
  • Metatarsalgia & Heel Spurs: Evenly redistributes body weight away from high-pressure points to allow inflammation to heal.

Understanding Your Needs

Why You Have Foot Pain?

The Pathomechanics of Misalignment

Most foot pain—whether it's Plantar Fasciitis, Flat Feet, or Heel Pain—stems from a single root cause: Biomechanical Misalignment. When your feet are not properly aligned, your entire body compensates.

Whether you overpronate (roll in) or supinate (roll out), the lack of proper support stresses your tendons, joints, and muscles with every step. This doesn't just hurt your feet; it triggers a chain reaction of pain up to your knees, hips, and lower back.

We Treat The Root Cause Of:

  • Plantar Fasciitis & Heel Spurs.
  • Flat Feet (Pes Planus) & Fallen Arches.
  • High Arches (Supination) & Ankle Instability.
  • Bunions, Metatarsalgia, and Achilles Tendonitis.

Fast Facts

  • Fact: 77% of Americans experience foot pain.
  • Impact: Misalignment causes knee & back pain in 50% of cases.
  • Correction: Custom orthotics are the #1 doctor-recommended treatment.

Background

Treating the Root Cause of Pain

The Problem

Why Generic Insoles Fail

Drugstore gels and foams are designed to fit "everyone," which means they fit no one perfectly. They lack the rigidity to correct alignment and simply provide a layer of cushion that flattens out.

Result: Pain returns quickly as the underlying issue persists.
The Bilt Solution

Precision Custom Fit

Bilt Labs custom orthotics are engineered from a physical mold of your feet. We capture your unique arch height, heel width, and foot contours to create a device that provides perfect structural alignment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Custom Orthotics FAQ

How is Bilt Labs different from other online orthotic brands?
Unlike many online brands that outsource production overseas or rely on soft EVA foam/generic 3D printing, Bilt Labs designs and manufactures every pair 100% in the USA. We use medical-grade polymer shells—the exact same materials used in podiatry clinics. Our designs are strictly overseen by a Board-Certified DPM, ensuring you get clinical-grade structural support rather than just expensive cushioning.
Why choose custom over store-bought?
Store-bought insoles are mass-produced for an "average" foot, providing simple cushioning that often flattens out quickly. Custom orthotics are medical devices made from a mold of your specific feet. They provide structural correction to align your body and are built to last for years.
What conditions do these treat?
Our custom orthotics are effective for a wide range of conditions including Plantar Fasciitis, Flat Feet, High Arches, Heel Pain, Bunions, Metatarsalgia, Achilles Tendonitis, and general foot fatigue or discomfort.
How long does it take to break them in?
Because custom orthotics change the alignment of your feet, there is an adjustment period. We recommend wearing them for 1 hour the first day, 2 hours the second, and so on. Most people are fully comfortable wearing them all day within 1-2 weeks.

Product & Service

How long does it take to receive my custom orthotics?
Once you place your order, we ship out your foot mold impression kit within 1-2 business days. After we receive your molds back at our lab, we design, build, and ship your custom orthotics within 21 business days.
Are these truly custom, medical-grade orthotics?
Yes. These are not "heat-moldable" or "shelf" insoles. They are custom-fabricated from a physical mold of your foot using the same medical-grade polymers and EVA foams we supply to podiatry clinics. Nothing is pre-made or off-the-shelf.
Do you take insurance or FSA/HSA?
We are approved and set up to accept insurance FSA/HSA cards directly at checkout. We can also send a detailed invoice for reimbursement. However, we do not bill insurance companies directly as that typically requires an in-person office visit.
How long will my custom orthotics last?
Bilt Labs custom orthotics typically last a minimum of 2-3 years. The orthotic shell itself often lasts longer (and has a lifetime warranty against breaking), but the top covers may show wear and can be refurbished.
What is your return/refund policy?
We offer a full 6-month trial period. If you are not fully happy with your orthotics by that time, you can return them for a full refund. We also offer 2 free adjustments during this period to ensure the fit is perfect.
Where are my orthotics made?
Your new custom orthotics are made in the United States. We are located in the Houston, Texas area. All fabrications, designs, and finishing are performed by experts right here in our Houston lab.
What is your warranty/guarantee policy?
Your orthotics include a Lifetime Warranty on the plastic orthotic shell against breaking or cracking. This does not include the top cover material, as that is a consumable item that naturally wears with use.
