Flat Feet Orthotics:

Ultimate Flat Feet Relief: Our therapeutic, custom orthotics are precision-engineered to stabilize fallen arches and eliminate instability common with overpronation. These are not simply generic insoles; each device is custom-made from a precise mold of your foot to provide crucial semi-rigid support that controls collapse and restores natural foot mechanics, and come with a Bilt labs warranty and guarantee.

Precision Correction

The key to eliminating foot, ankle, and knee pain caused by flat feet is providing dynamic, rigid arch support to control excessive inward rolling. Our semi-rigid design offers robust hindfoot stabilization and prevents the midfoot from collapsing. By correcting overpronation, our custom orthotics enhance stability and relieve the widespread strain associated with fallen arches.

Unparalleled Performance

Built from your unique foot mold and detailed health information, we guarantee a truly precise fit that mass-produced supports cannot match. Choosing Bilt Labs is choosing a durable, evidence-based therapy that offers reliable support and improves gait alignment for long-term comfort and mobility. Backed by our lifetime shell warranty.

Understanding The Condition

What are Flat Feet?

The Pathomechanics of Overpronation

Flat Feet (Pes Planus) occur when the arches on the inside of your feet collapse, causing the entire sole to touch the floor when standing. This leads to excessive pronation, where the feet roll inward too far.

This inward rolling causes the lower leg (tibia) to rotate internally, putting massive strain on the ankles, knees, and lower back. It forces the muscles of the foot to work overtime to stabilize your body, leading to chronic fatigue and pain.

Common Symptoms:

  • Pain along the inner ankle (Posterior Tibial Tendon).
  • General foot fatigue and aching arches after standing.
  • Inner knee pain due to leg rotation.
  • Shin splints and lower back tightness.

Fast Facts

  • Prevalence: About 25% of adults have fallen arches.
  • Risk: Increases likelihood of plantar fasciitis and bunions.
  • Correction: Structural orthotics align the foot to neutral.

Why Orthotics Are The Primary Treatment

The goal of treatment is to Restore Alignment.

You cannot build an arch with exercise alone. Custom orthotics provide a firm physical platform that holds the foot in a neutral position. By preventing the arch from collapsing with every step, we stop the chain reaction of pain traveling up the leg.

The Problem

Generic Insoles Collapse

Mass-produced insoles use soft materials that flatten under your body weight. They cannot prevent the arch collapse (overpronation) that causes your pain.

Result: Your arch continues to fall with every step.

Frequently Asked Questions

Flat Feet Relief

Can orthotics fix flat feet?
Orthotics cannot permanently change the bone structure of an adult foot, but they functionally correct the issue while worn. By holding your foot in a neutral, aligned position, they prevent the arch collapse and strain on your tendons, effectively eliminating the symptoms and preventing progression.
Do I need firm or soft support for flat feet?
Flat feet require firm, semi-rigid support. Soft drugstore insoles will simply collapse under the weight of your falling arch, offering no real correction. You need a material that is strong enough to hold your arch up, which is why we use medical-grade polymers.
Will these fit in my shoes if I have flat feet?
Yes. Our custom orthotics are milled to your exact foot profile. Because they are custom-made (not generic bulky foam), they have a low profile that fits easily into sneakers, work boots, and casual shoes while providing the necessary arch lift.

Product & Service

How long does it take to receive my custom orthotics?
Once you place your order, we ship out your foot mold impression kit within 1-2 business days. After we receive your molds back at our lab, we design, build, and ship your custom orthotics within 21 business days.
Are these truly custom, medical-grade orthotics?
Yes. These are not "heat-moldable" or "shelf" insoles. They are custom-fabricated from a physical mold of your foot using the same medical-grade polymers and EVA foams we supply to podiatry clinics. Nothing is pre-made or off-the-shelf.
Do you take insurance or FSA/HSA?
We are approved and set up to accept insurance FSA/HSA cards directly at checkout. We can also send a detailed invoice for reimbursement. However, we do not bill insurance companies directly as that typically requires an in-person office visit.
How long will my custom orthotics last?
Bilt Labs custom orthotics typically last a minimum of 2-3 years. The orthotic shell itself often lasts longer (and has a lifetime warranty against breaking), but the top covers may show wear and can be refurbished.
What is your return/refund policy?
We offer a full 6-month trial period. If you are not fully happy with your orthotics by that time, you can return them for a full refund. We also offer 2 free adjustments during this period to ensure the fit is perfect.
Where are my orthotics made?
Your new custom orthotics are made in the United States. We are located in the Houston, Texas area. All fabrications, designs, and finishing are performed by experts right here in our Houston lab.
What is your warranty/guarantee policy?
Your orthotics include a Lifetime Warranty on the plastic orthotic shell against breaking or cracking. This does not include the top cover material, as that is a consumable item that naturally wears with use.
