High Arch orthotics:

Ultimate High Arch Relief: Our therapeutic, custom orthotics are precision-engineered to address the rigidity and instability common with high arches (Pes Cavus). These are not simply generic insoles; each device is custom-made from a precise mold of your foot to ensure optimal contact with the arch, providing essential shock absorption and corrective alignment, and come with a Bilt Labs warranty and guarantee.

Precision Correction

The key to relieving pain associated with high, rigid arches (supination) is maximizing the surface contact area to distribute pressure evenly. Our semi-rigid design cradles the elevated arch and includes targeted cushioning to improve shock absorption and reduce impact forces that travel up the kinetic chain to the knees and hips. By ensuring proper support, our custom orthotics enhance stability and relieve localized pressure points.

Unparalleled Performance

Built from your unique foot mold and detailed health information, we guarantee a truly precise fit that mass-produced supports cannot match. Choosing Bilt Labs is choosing a durable, evidence-based therapy that offers reliable support and improves gait alignment for long-term comfort and mobility. Backed by our lifetime shell warranty.

Understanding The Condition

What are High Arches?

The Pathomechanics of Supination

High Arches (Pes Cavus) create a rigid foot structure that lacks natural shock absorption. Because the arch does not lower enough to dissipate impact, excessive force is transmitted directly to the heel and the ball of the foot.

This condition often leads to supination (underpronation), where the foot rolls outward. This misalignment places severe strain on the lateral ankle and can cause metatarsalgia, stress fractures, and chronic instability.

Common Symptoms:

  • Pain in the ball of the foot (Metatarsalgia).
  • Chronic lateral ankle sprains or instability.
  • Calluses on the heel and ball of the foot.
  • Tight calf muscles and Achilles tendon pain.

Fast Facts

  • Prevalence: Less common than flat feet, affecting ~10% of the population.
  • Risk: Higher risk of stress fractures due to poor shock absorption.
  • Correction: Total contact orthotics redistribute weight evenly.

Why Orthotics Are The Primary Treatment

The goal of treatment is to Redistribute Pressure.

High arches leave a void between your foot and the shoe. Custom orthotics are designed to fill this void with a "total contact" fit. By increasing the surface area contacting your foot, we offload the high-pressure points on the heel and ball of the foot, providing essential shock absorption and stability.

Background

Treating the Root Cause of High Arches

The Problem

Generic Insoles Leave a Gap

Generic insoles are designed for "average" arches. If you have high arches, they leave a critical gap between the insole and your foot, offering zero support where you need it most.

Result: Pressure remains focused on your heel and ball of foot.
The Bilt Solution

Total Contact Support

We capture your high arch profile perfectly in the mold. Your custom orthotic fills the void, redistributing weight across the entire foot to offload pressure from the heel and forefoot.

Frequently Asked Questions

High Arches Relief

Do custom insoles help high arches?
Yes. Custom insoles are essential for high arches because they fill the void under the arch that shoes and generic insoles miss. This "total contact" fit redistributes your body weight across the whole foot, relieving the intense pressure on your heel and ball of foot while providing shock absorption.
Will these prevent ankle rolling?
Yes. High arches typically cause the foot to roll outward (supination), leading to lateral ankle instability. Our custom orthotics feature a deep heel cup and lateral support that stabilizes the ankle joint, preventing frequent sprains and improving balance.
Do I need firm or soft support?
You need a semi-rigid material that is flexible enough to absorb shock (since your high arches are rigid) but firm enough to maintain full contact with your arch throughout the day. Bilt Labs custom orthotics offer this exact balance of shock absorption and structural integrity.

Product & Service

How long does it take to receive my custom orthotics?
Once you place your order, we ship out your foot mold impression kit within 1-2 business days. After we receive your molds back at our lab, we design, build, and ship your custom orthotics within 21 business days.
Are these truly custom, medical-grade orthotics?
Yes. These are not "heat-moldable" or "shelf" insoles. They are custom-fabricated from a physical mold of your foot using the same medical-grade polymers and EVA foams we supply to podiatry clinics. Nothing is pre-made or off-the-shelf.
Do you take insurance or FSA/HSA?
We are approved and set up to accept insurance FSA/HSA cards directly at checkout. We can also send a detailed invoice for reimbursement. However, we do not bill insurance companies directly as that typically requires an in-person office visit.
How long will my custom orthotics last?
Bilt Labs custom orthotics typically last a minimum of 2-3 years. The orthotic shell itself often lasts longer (and has a lifetime warranty against breaking), but the top covers may show wear and can be refurbished.
What is your return/refund policy?
We offer a full 6-month trial period. If you are not fully happy with your orthotics by that time, you can return them for a full refund. We also offer 2 free adjustments during this period to ensure the fit is perfect.
Where are my orthotics made?
Your new custom orthotics are made in the United States. We are located in the Houston, Texas area. All fabrications, designs, and finishing are performed by experts right here in our Houston lab.
What is your warranty/guarantee policy?
Your orthotics include a Lifetime Warranty on the plastic orthotic shell against breaking or cracking. This does not include the top cover material, as that is a consumable item that naturally wears with use.
