Custom orthotics endure regular wear and tear and will require some regular maintenance, especially for those who exert heavy use on their orthotics. Orthotic inserts generally have a hard shell base. The hard shell base is what provides support to your feet. Over that base is the padding or top covers which provide comfort for your feet. The top covers are important to the complete comfort of the orthotic insert. Once the top covers wear out, your inserts might not feel as comfortable as when they were new.

You can simply replace the top covers. Recover the existing shell, and your inserts will feel back to new!
