Love my Orthotics

I bought my first pair almost 2 years ago and they have been a life saver. I’m finally ready to buy a new pair. They are the best and take away the uncomfortable pain of having a neuroma and planters fasciitis issue.

Best decision ever!

My daughter is super active, but she has rocker bottom feet, not extreme, but bad enough that she has had chronic blisters and callouses. Doctor recommended orthotics. She loves them! She said it's like she's not even stepping on her feet!

I'm happy! She's happy! 10/10 definitely recommend!

Construction worker - Pain Relief

I am a construction worker. I acquired Plantar Fasciitis about five years ago. The VA made me a set of orthotics for free, but I was quite unhappy with them. I searched the internet for custom orthotics and found this company. The price seemed affordable, so I went for it. Ever since, I have only used orthotics from this company. Since it had been so long since my initial molding, I thought that I would go ahead and get a new molding done. I'm happy with these new ones also. This time, I added a little extra cushioning, and I am still very happy that I found this business. They have never let me down. I have spoken about them many times on their Facebook ads, too. I highly recommend this company and its custom orthotics.

First- the product is great!

First- the product is great!Second the staff/support is awesome- you call them- they answer, reply and resolve any issues. Finally the pricing is so much better than elsewhere. You can pay 5 to 10x more for the same product elsewhere.....

Just a much better value proposition than using the Medical System for Orthotics

I had custom orthotics made by a doctors office that cost around $575. When I wanted to get more, they said I need a "visit" ($750) and then order another pair ($575). That was when I went looking for alternatives. I found and have been incredibly impressed with the results. They use the exact same impression box the doctors office used, but offer three different versions (comfy, everyday, sport) orthotics. AND - reordering is super easy. Best part - price ends up being less than 1/4 what I would have paid for a single pair each time.

I wanted to be certain that I got the…

I wanted to be certain that I got the 3/4 length when I did a reorder. I got through to customer service quickly and my questions answered and the re-order completed in just a few minutes. The representative that helped me was friendly, knowledgable and professional. I have been wearing the 3/4 length active orthotics for 3 weeks now and they have helped to stabilize my feet to their each unique contour. I have high arches and these feel so much better than the one shape fits all that I had been wearing. Happy with the great price too!

Great company, fantastic product!

This company did a very good job of rectifying my situation. Needless to say the inserts are very comfortable, the process is extremely straight forward, and I will now own multiple pairs. If you have been waiting to get custom Orthotics, don't wait. It makes a world of difference in my regular sneakers, AND hiking boots.

Orthotics Done Well

As a long term user of orthotics I have always gotten them through a podiatrist. Recently I lost access to my usual podiatrist and I was very much in need of new orthotics. I ordered a pair from and I am happy with the pair they made for me. I chose for several reasons. They base their product on the impression of your feet in a foam box. Having experienced several ways of determining the required specifications, this one makes the most sense to me. The questions that are asked to refine my specifications inspired faith that has personnel with expertise in making custom orthotics. The other reason is that their price is reasonable. With these things in mind I didn’t hesitate to place an order. It has worked out very well.

Excellent construction & customer service - risk free

Excellent customer service, if you have any questions or issues I recommend reaching out to the customer support, they were very responsive and helpful. These are very well constructed orthotics but not 100% equivalent to doctor's office - Bilt are very rigid hard plastic orthotic, but still a little flex; ultimately my case involved very high arch and long-running plantar fasciitis which for me needed the in-person podiatry and rock solid orthotic with more customization; but Bilt were super helpful and able to return and refund with no hassle so I would recommend giving these a try over other off-the-shelf or customizable solutions. They would also work with you on adjustments to the orthotic. Advise to consult with your doctor either way, and follow Bilt's instructions on break-in period esp if new to orthotics and be patient, don't order additional pairs beyond initial add-on pair until you've had a good trial period (3-4 weeks recommended). Also recommend the vegan leather cover over the EVA - I found the EVA (Active) cover was very thick.

great product

Easy to order, great customer service, and for the money, a GREAT product. Literally 500 bucks less than my other orthotics and just as good

Frequently Asked Questions.

How long does it take to receive my recovered/refurbished orthotics?

Once an order is placed, we email you a prepaid return label to send us your orthotics that need a new top cover. Once we receive them here at the lab, we will recover/refurbish your orthotics and have them shipped out to you within 7-10 business days.

How long will my custom orthotics last?

Bilt Labs custom orthotics typically last a minimum of 2-3 years.  The orthotics themselves (plastic base) can and do last longer in most cases, however, most specialists recommend a remold after this timeframe as our feet continually change.

Unfortunately, there's no one-size-fits-all answer to how long top cover material on custom orthotics should last. It depends on a variety of factors, including:

  • User activity level: High-impact activities like running and jumping will inevitably wear down the top covers faster than low-impact activities like walking or casual everyday use.
  • Material quality: Different materials have different lifespans. Some higher-quality, more durable materials, like leather or certain types of foams, might last longer than simpler fabrics.
  • Footwear compatibility: Certain shoes can rub against the top covers more than others, accelerating wear.
  • Individual factors: Everyone's feet are different, and individual sweat and body chemistry can also contribute to material breakdown.

However, as a general guideline:

  • For moderately active users: Top covers could last anywhere from 6 months to a year.
  • For highly active users: You might need to replace them every 3-6 months.
  • For low-impact use: Your top covers could last up to 1-2 years.

Remember: Even within these ranges, it's important to pay attention to your own orthotics. Look for signs of wear and tear such as thinning, ripping, or excessive pilling. If the top covers are no longer providing enough cushion or comfort, it's time to replace them.

Do you take insurance or FSA/HSA?

We are approved and set up to accept insurance FSA/HSA cards. We can also send a detailed invoice that may be used for reimbursement for those with HSA/FSA accounts.

However, most insurance companies do not cover custom-made orthotics. If they do, they must be prescribed by a physician seen in person. Due to this, we do not currently work with any insurance companies.

Why should I recover my orthotics?

Custom orthotics endure regular wear and tear and will require some regular maintenance, especially for those who exert heavy use on their orthotics.

Orthotic inserts generally have a hard shell base. The hard shell base is what provides support to your feet. Over that base is the padding or top covers which provide comfort for your feet.

The top covers are important to the complete comfort of the orthotic insert. Once the top covers wear out, your inserts might not feel as comfortable as when they were new.

You can simply replace the top covers. Recover the existing shell, and your inserts will feel back to new!
