At Bilt Labs, we offer two ways to create your custom insoles, each designed to give you a perfect custom fit.
1. Premium Build insoles are made from a physical mold of your feet. This process is the most precise method available. We send you a foot impression kit to capture every subtle curve, arch, and contour of your unique feet. Our expert technicians then use this exact physical mold, along with the information from your foot health questionnaire, to build your insoles from scratch. This results in our most advanced and truly custom-made product, providing unparalleled comfort and performance.
2. Standard insoles are made from your personal quiz data. This is our most convenient and economical option. When you complete our detailed online assessment, our advanced orthotic software uses your specific data profile. It combines your personal information with millions of data points from thousands of custom designs we've created over the years. This technology allows us to provide you with a truly customized product without the need for a physical foot mold.
Everyday vs Active
Both builds include the option to customize your comfort layer. This is the responsive cushioning layer.
- Everyday (yellow): Built for comfort and daily life. Engineered to resist impacts and maintain its shape. This memory-form layer provides all-day cushioning. For normal day to day activities and standing all day.
- Active (green): Built for high-performance activities. Engineered to handle repeated stress. This high-rebound layer that returns energy with every step. For an active, fitness, on the go lifestyle and working on your feet all day.

Keeping Your Insoles Fresh:
- Hand wash your insoles with a rag using a gentle soap and water.
- Allow them to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area before reinserting them in your shoes.
- Consider using a shoe deodorizer spray specifically designed for footwear.
Maximizing Insole Lifespan:
- Store your insoles in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures or harsh chemicals.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to receive my custom orthotics?
Once a Premium Build order is placed, we ship out your foot mold impression kit within 1-2 business days.
For a Standard Build order, work begins soon after your order is submitted.
We will design and build your new custom orthotics and have them shipped out to you within 21 business days for Premium Build and 14 business days for Standard Build.
Are these truly custom, medical-grade orthotics?
Yes, we offer two ways to build your custom insoles. They are made for your specific foot health needs and specifications, making them truly custom only to you.
Nothing is pre-made or off-the-shelf. You get the same medical-grade materials process that we provide to professionals in the orthotic industry.

Do you take insurance or FSA/HSA?
We are approved and set up to accept insurance FSA/HSA cards. We can also send a detailed invoice that may be used for reimbursement for those with HSA/FSA accounts.
However, most insurance companies do not cover custom-made orthotics. If they do, they must be prescribed by a physician in person. Due to this, we do not currently work with any insurance companies.
How long will my custom orthotics last?
Bilt Labs custom orthotics typically last a minimum of 2-3 years. The orthotics themselves can and do last longer in most cases, however, most specialists recommend a remold after this timeframe as our feet continually change.
What is your return/refund policy?
We offer easy Refunds/Returns. Our goal is to help and provide foot pain relief, so we provide you with a full 6 months to try out your new custom orthotics. If you are not fully happy with them by that time, you can return them for a full refund.

Where are my orthotics made?
Unlike some of our competitors, your new custom orthotics are made in the United States. We are located in the Houston, Texas area. All fabrications and designs are made by experts here in our Houston lab.
What is your warranty/guarantee policy?
We understand that custom insoles are an important decision. That's why we have a full 6-month Money Back Guarantee. You have a full 6 months to try out your new custom orthotics insoles. If you are not fully happy with them by that time, you can return them for a full refund. We also offer 2 free adjustments within those first 6 months.
Your orthotics include a Lifetime Warranty on the orthotic insole base. This does not include the top cover material since it is a consumable item that will naturally wear out. Click here to view more information.
