Great Fit

The customer service staff here is awesome. The orthotics fit and feel great. I bought a previous pair from another company that one fit fine and the other just didn't fit right. Both of the orthotics from BuiltLabs fit and feel great. My feet no longer get tired while walking.

Happy Feet

I had orthotics made last year and found they corrected my flat feet and actually made me about a 1/4 taller when wearing them. I was so pleased I reordered two more pair. Now a year later I’m getting two more pair so I never have to pull them from one pair of shoes to use them in another. After the first year the original set still have plenty of bounce and support.

What a find...

The process from the foam imprint, to getting the custom inserts, to receiving them was super easy. Tried them on, and for me, instant relieve for my left ankle. Ordered 2 more. Feel it is not a gimmick, or hype they just work for me. Customer service is there if I need it but at this point I don't

Relief, finally.....

5-months of plantar fasciitis. I have only been wearing the custom orthotics for a week, but my feet are feeling better than they have in too long of a time. I am hopeful that I have found the long-term solution.

Best out there

I really was disparate as I walk my dog everyday and my pronation was making that next to impossible ...so I researched the offerings and my research led me to Biltlabs. Those other insoles are foreign made have terrible customer service and who knows about their products ... customer service was so bad I kept searching .

Biltlabs are super friendly and supportive and here is the best part ...I can walk again ...yippee !!!!

Very New Recipient : Warren W.

I've been partly lame for six months and I've only had my new orthotics for five days, but of course I had questions. I called the Bilt Labs help line. I discovered old time Customer Service. Friendly, competent, patient. I spoke to Laura and I think if I asked for her home number for orthotic help, she would have given it. Adapting to new orthotics takes time. This morning I walked my dog about 1/4 mile, something I haven't been able to do for at least a year. I'm very excited about my future mobility.1

Walking the Camino with My BiltLabs Insoles

I just walked the Camino in Spain (70+ miles) with my new Bilt Labs insoles. They worked great. Absolutely no foot pain and they were about half the price of what I paid for my previous orthotics. I was a bit nervous because I had no time to "break" them in and with my other orthotics it took me about ten days to get comfortable. But with my BiltLabs Orthotics they were totally comfortable from day 1. I was concerned about pain on the ball of my foot since I would be walking 8 to 16 miles per day but had absolutely no pain or blisters the entire ten days of walking. I would highly recommend BiltLabs Insoles!

First experience with Bilt labs

I will say bilt lab is a great experience to go through , Laura is so good with customers making everything so easy ! Answered my dumb questions , you can tell she cares about people ! Lots of reviews said she was really good and caring and it’s so true ! I got my insoles in and they needed trimming , I emailed on Saturday and she responded , I was blown away ! Sent me a return label on Monday am ! Who does that these days ! Bilt lab does ! If any one need insoles this is the place to call and ask for Laura !! I can’t wait to get my insoles back so I can start wearing them ! I’m a customer for life !

Would highly recommend

I had originally had insoles from the podiatrist and spent a small fortune, and when it was time for another pair I wanted to find an alternative to spending that amount of money again and came across bilt labs. I am thoroughly satisfied with the quality of these insoles. They are just like the ones I had from the podiatrist at a WAY lower cost. I am a very satisfied customer. Thank you!!!

Frequently Asked Questions.

How long does it take to receive my recovered/refurbished orthotics?

Once an order is placed, we email you a prepaid return label to send us your orthotics that need a new top cover. Once we receive them here at the lab, we will recover/refurbish your orthotics and have them shipped out to you within 7-10 business days.

How long will my custom orthotics last?

Bilt Labs custom orthotics typically last a minimum of 2-3 years.  The orthotics themselves (plastic base) can and do last longer in most cases, however, most specialists recommend a remold after this timeframe as our feet continually change.

Unfortunately, there's no one-size-fits-all answer to how long top cover material on custom orthotics should last. It depends on a variety of factors, including:

  • User activity level: High-impact activities like running and jumping will inevitably wear down the top covers faster than low-impact activities like walking or casual everyday use.
  • Material quality: Different materials have different lifespans. Some higher-quality, more durable materials, like leather or certain types of foams, might last longer than simpler fabrics.
  • Footwear compatibility: Certain shoes can rub against the top covers more than others, accelerating wear.
  • Individual factors: Everyone's feet are different, and individual sweat and body chemistry can also contribute to material breakdown.

However, as a general guideline:

  • For moderately active users: Top covers could last anywhere from 6 months to a year.
  • For highly active users: You might need to replace them every 3-6 months.
  • For low-impact use: Your top covers could last up to 1-2 years.

Remember: Even within these ranges, it's important to pay attention to your own orthotics. Look for signs of wear and tear such as thinning, ripping, or excessive pilling. If the top covers are no longer providing enough cushion or comfort, it's time to replace them.

Do you take insurance or FSA/HSA?

We are approved and set up to accept insurance FSA/HSA cards. We can also send a detailed invoice that may be used for reimbursement for those with HSA/FSA accounts.

However, most insurance companies do not cover custom-made orthotics. If they do, they must be prescribed by a physician seen in person. Due to this, we do not currently work with any insurance companies.

Why should I recover my orthotics?

Custom orthotics endure regular wear and tear and will require some regular maintenance, especially for those who exert heavy use on their orthotics.

Orthotic inserts generally have a hard shell base. The hard shell base is what provides support to your feet. Over that base is the padding or top covers which provide comfort for your feet.

The top covers are important to the complete comfort of the orthotic insert. Once the top covers wear out, your inserts might not feel as comfortable as when they were new.

You can simply replace the top covers. Recover the existing shell, and your inserts will feel back to new!
